"More than 3,600 people from 99 countries voted in the 2006
poll. The greatest number of voters fell in the age range of 26 to 35
year olds, with an almost equal number of men and women. Voters
claiming employment with actual brands as opposed to agencies was
greater by half. Respondents per region equal: 3,625 for Global; 1,595 for US
& Canada; 1,420 for Asia-Pacific; 1,358 for Europe & Africa;
and 581 for Latin America..." see more results:

Some of the region's leading marketing, PR, media and advertising
experts gaze into the crystal ball and predict what will be big, what
will fade away and what everyone should keep an eye on over the next 12
months. Which brand will start to scine in 2007? Most probably it
will be a brand in the digital landscape that not many people have yet
heard of — a bit like YouTube this time last year, and Google a few
years before that.

MTV
Networks International and The Body Shop have teamed up to launch a
new fragrance, Rougeberry Eau de Toilette, as part of a new campaign to
help prevent the spread of HIV and Aids. Titled ‘Spray to Change
Attitudes’, the drive
will see the fragrance sold through The Body Shop chain until the end
of March, with proceeds going to MTV’s Staying Alive foundation. A
series of TVCs is airing globally across MTV channels, along with
promotional materials

BBDO launches Vietnam operation |

BBDO
has opened its doors in Vietnam with a new start-up which will be
headed by JWT executive creative director David Smail. The
agency was set to launch with an affiliate partnership with local shop
Golden Advertising, but exploratory talks broke down. BBDO Vietnam's
founding client is Fonterra, and the agency is in talks with number of
other undisclosed advertisers. Smail, who has operated in the country
since 1997,
