Global Group M’s forecast for 2007 shows the market is healthy with this neck of the
woods looking particularly promising. Global ad spend showed steady growth of
+5.3% in 2006, however Asia Pacific’s
forecasted growth for 2006 is likely to outperform the trend with +8% growth
predicted. Other trends highlighted in Group
M’s, This Year Next Year report,
delivered at a breakfast briefing in New York yesterday, included that China has
now outstripped the US

Amid all the commercials for video games and video-game consoles you'll
see on TV tonight as the holiday shopping days tick away, there will be
a 60-second ad from Microsoft breaking during "Monday Night Football"
on ESPN for the next installment of "Halo." So how does that differ
from the ads you'll see for, say, "Gears of War"? Well, "Gears of War"
you can buy now. "Halo" doesn't hit the shelves until next fall.
That's right: "Halo 3" won't be out for almost a year

'English' or 'Español' and reflects the spirit of expansion throughout
the Hispanic agency world. La Comunidad itself grew by 60% in the last
year. U.S. hispanic ad agencies kept up their double-digit growth in 2006 as they lured first-time Hispanic advertisers into the market, expanded their offerings in areas such as digital, and continued to go
beyond Spanish-dominant Hispanics

Believe it or not, those boring corporate websites are pulling in more
eyeballs -- and more influencers -- than the flashy prime time TV
shows, print magazines
and general interest sites on which marketers advertise. And part
of what's driving the traffic is old-fashioned web display advertising
and e-mail pushes. Corporate and brand websites -- once derided as "brochure ware" in a
digital marketing world that quickly moved to sexier applications
