Kidman wins Chanel libel case against Telegraph PDF Print E-mail

Kidman: face of Chanel No.5Nicole Kidman has won a libel lawsuit against The Daily Telegraph for a story it published claiming she prefers to wear a different perfume to the Chanel No.5 fragrance which she gets paid to promote. The article ran on November 28 in the paper's Spy column and reported that Kidman, while in London to promote her new film, 'The Golden Compass', had angered Chanel by attending press junkets with a bottle of Jo Malone, her "favourite perfume".

 The Financial Times is continuing to focus on its online offering, extending its relationship with Reuters to include video hosting across its photo, world news, business news sections. The addition of Reuters video will take its video offering to more than 100 per month, which is expected to grow in 2008. In recent months, The Financial Times has partnered with Google and 30 other partner websites to launch a ‘First Click Free' program

 Visa has kicked off its second round of Olympic-themed commercials, with local Kong Fu actor Jackie Chan stepping in for another wave of Visa promotions. The 45 second TV spot launches in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand this week, featuring Chan and Olympic basketballer Yao Ming.  recent GroupM This Year Next Year report, predicts that clients' spending surrounding the Beijing Olympic Games will push the region's ad spend up some 38% in 2008.
