 Prior to that time, all media, including newspapers, magazines, broadcasting and television media, belonged to the Chinese government. The government paid the journalists a fixed salary and in return they reported what the government wanted them to report. However, after economic reforms, Chinese journalists were forced to survive without governmental handouts and had to find other ways to supplement their meager salaries.

Levi's engage youths with branded virtual world PDF In E-mail

 Levi's has kicked off a social networking virtual world for Hong Kong and China, targeted at youths between 15 and 24 aimed at engaging them to connect with the brand and drive sales at the stores. In Hong Kong, a series of in-store communications, print ads, online banners and animated YouTube videos were activated to invite users to join an online "red carpet" launch party that attracted over 5,800 to rsvp's for the event within 48 hours.

Disney launching timeshift Playhouse offering PDF In E-mail

 Disney will next week launch a timeshifted version of its preschool children's channel Playhouse Disney. Disney is adopting a new model for the Playhouse Disney + channel, with programmes on the channel shown 25 minutes later than on the core Disney Playhouse channel, as opposed to the one-hour delay typically used for timeshifted channels. The move means Disney now operates timeshifted channels for three of its channel brands:
