"Football Star's Future as Endorser in Limbo After Dog-Fighting Indictment". Nike is suspending the release of a new shoe tied to roubled Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who was indicted in relation to a dog-fighting ring earlier this week. The Nike Air Zoom Vick V football shoe was scheduled for a late August release, but those plans -- much like Mr. Vick's season -- are now on hold.

A shock campaign has launched across Vietnam urging people to wear helmets when riding motorcycles. The campaign, created by Ogilvy & Mather and the Asia Injury Foundation, launches ahead of a new law that makes helmet usage mandatory. This year, the Government is funding the media space for the first time, said Ogilvy Vietnam branding director, Alex Clegg. US$150,000 worth of media space

The 2007 AFC Asian Cup has kicked off, with cumulative audiences of one billion expected in Asia, Europe and North America. The tournament is being held in four countries this year, with Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam hosting 32 matches between them. "The appreciation of the Cup has grown," said Seamus O'Brien, president and CEO of World Sport Group,which manages the event’s sponsorship and TV rights.
