Believe it or not, those boring corporate websites are pulling in more
eyeballs -- and more influencers -- than the flashy prime time TV
shows, print magazines
and general interest sites on which marketers advertise. And part
of what's driving the traffic is old-fashioned web display advertising
and e-mail pushes. Corporate and brand websites -- once derided as "brochure ware" in a
digital marketing world that quickly moved to sexier applications

Vietnam's largest telecom. firm, has launched
an above-the-line campaign to communicate a new prefix code and woo a
younger consumer audience. The newly-introduced code -- 094 -- was
given to new subscribers, as the old code had run out of unique number
combinations. With a shoestring budget of just US$12,000, incumbent
Saatchi &
Saatchi was tasked to produce three commercials that expressed the new
prefix "in a memorable way",

Fat Elvis might have put deep-fried peanut-butter and banana-sandwiches on the map, but Skinny Elvis is getting the spotlight as Hershey Co. turns to the King to shake up Reese's sales. Coinciding with the 30th Anniversary of Elvis's death next summer, Hershey will shimmy onto the shelf a limited-edition peanut-butter-and-banana-creme variety inspired by the rock 'n' roll legend. And the roll out will be accompanied by a significant promotional outlay.
