Research recently published by The World Sponsorship Monitor, produced by Sports Marketing Surveys, charts a pretty consistent trend in the global growth of sponsorship over the last five years. From a statistically relevant sample of 1,196 new sponsorship deals analysed in 2007, a whopping 84% was sports related, 6% arts and culture, 5% broadcast and 5% "other"
